Blue building
Blue Building is a new landmark in the heart of the financial district of Madrid. The building was completely refurbished and optimised to fit the requirements in innovation, sustainability and design. The project achieved the A Energy Performance Certificate as well as the LEED Gold rating.
To optimise the buildings energy consumption a pioneering and exclusive air-conditioning system was created. This system uses water and gas as transmission fluids for an optimised performance, efficiency and sustainability.
The striking double skin façade on the four sides of the building is built up out of a curtain wall solution in combination with micro perforated stainless steel sheets. This allows sunlight to come through while offering acoustic insulation.
